SS canteen rings are unofficial rings that were made or acquired by SS members in canteens and field workshops – in contrast to the official SS Honor Ring (Totenkopfring), which was only awarded personally by Himmler. Canteen rings with a skull motif are rare on the collector's market and highly sought after by SS and Third Reich collectors. The embedded stone makes this example a particularly interesting unique piece.
