Historical Background

The Channel Island of Jersey was the only British island occupied by German troops during World War II. The soldiers' homes operated there issued their own vouchers, which were valid exclusively on-site. These documents are now particularly sought after by militaria and numismatic collectors, as they establish a direct link to the unique occupation history of the Channel Islands and have survived in very small numbers.
