The Luftwaffe uniform eagle (sovereign emblem) was the characteristic insignia of the Luftwaffe uniform – a stylized eagle with outstretched wings and insignia, worn on the left breast of the uniform jacket. Embroidered Luftwaffe eagles existed in various designs, sizes, and embroidery techniques – depending on the manufacturer, era, and purpose (field uniform, parade uniform, flight jacket).
