The Deutsches Jungvolk (DJ) was the youth organization of the Third Reich for boys aged 10 to 14 – the precursor to the Hitler Youth (HJ). The Pimpfe, as the DJ members were called, wore characteristic uniform insignia that identified their affiliation and rank. Unworn DJ cloth insignia (stock items) are particularly rare and sought after on the collector's market.
