The Tank Destruction Badge (instituted March 9, 1942) was awarded to infantrymen and Panzergrenadiers who had destroyed an enemy tank in close combat alone and without support from their own tanks or anti-tank weapons. The Strap Version (also "Arm Badge") was worn on the left upper arm and differs from the cloth patch version by its wearing method with a strap. Both versions are among the rarest and most highly regarded bravery awards of World War II. Also available: Tank Destruction Badge as a cloth patch (Item No. 33.722) and German Cross in Gold Original (Item No. 34.117).
