Commemorative Medal of the Blue Division – Spain on ribbon, Russia 1941

This rare Commemorative Medal for the Campaign in Russia (División Azul) was instituted by decree of the Chief of the Spanish General Staff on January 7, 1944. It was awarded to returning members of the Spanish volunteer division who fought on the Eastern Front alongside the Wehrmacht.

The piece comes from old dealer stock and features the characteristic eagle decoration on the ribbon – an authentic testament to German-Spanish military cooperation in World War II.
