The Strichtarn (also "Flecktarn DDR") was the characteristic camouflage pattern of the National People's Army and was used from the 1960s onwards. NVA equipment in the Strichtarn pattern are among the most sought-after GDR militaria objects of all – barracks bags in this format (approx. 95 × 55 cm) are particularly rare as large pieces of equipment and are highly sought after by NVA, GDR, and Cold War collectors.
