The LUPOSTA (Airmail Exhibition) was one of the most important German philatelic exhibitions of the Weimar Republic – dedicated to the burgeoning airmail and especially Zeppelin mail. The LUPOSTA Danzig 1932 took place in the Free City of Danzig – a sovereign city-state (1920–1939) under the protection of the League of Nations, which maintained its own postal system with its own stamps and cancels. The combination of LUPOSTA exhibition cancel, Zeppelin mail cancel, and the rare postal territory Free City of Danzig makes this piece an absolute highlight of German Zeppelin and exhibition philately. Original LUPOSTA Danzig Zeppelin covers fetch top prices at international auctions. Also available: Zeppelin Onboard Mail "an Bord" 1928 (Item No. 33.210), Mail Drop Görlitz 1930 (Item No. 33.207), Vienna 1931 (Item No. 33.206) and the entire philatelic series in our assortment.
