About Günther Prien and this Piece

Günther Prien (1908–1941) was one of the most successful U-boat commanders of the Kriegsmarine. With U-47, he sank the British battleship HMS Royal Oak in Scapa Flow in October 1939 – a coup that made him the first naval officer to receive the Knight's Cross with Oak Leaves. WHW booklets related to Prien are among the most sought-after items in the series and are particularly popular among U-boat, Kriegsmarine, and Knight's Cross collectors.

Combined order is worthwhile: Additional volumes of the WHW Knight's Cross Holder series are available (Item No. 21.520–21.528)!
