The establishment of the Traditional Gau Badge for the Gau Danzig-West Prussia is not precisely documented. It was established by Gauleiter Albert Forster, who also performed the conferment. The wearing authorization by Adolf Hitler is known. Early members of the NSDAP were probably honored, as the inscription shows.
