The "Low-Altitude Aircraft Destruction" armband is among the rarest and least documented awards of the Luftwaffe in World War II. It was awarded to Luftwaffe personnel who had successfully combatted and destroyed enemy low-altitude aircraft – i.e., low-flying combat aircraft that were particularly dangerous for ground troops and infrastructure. Due to the extreme rarity of original specimens, a clear distinction between an original and a collector's reproduction is difficult even for experts. Armbands of this type are highly sought after by specialist Luftwaffe collectors and researchers. Also available: Luftwaffe Pilot's Badge Cloth (Item no. 32.971) and Luftwaffe Uniform Eagle (Item no. 32.977, 32.978).
