About this piece

The Luftwaffe uniform eagle (national emblem) was the characteristic insignia of the Luftwaffe uniform – a stylized eagle with spread wings and national emblem, worn on the left breast of the uniform jacket. The Luftwaffe used a slightly different eagle style than the Army and SS – with flatter, wider wings. Embroidered cloth eagles of the Luftwaffe in condition 2 are rare on the collector's market and are highly sought after by collectors of Luftwaffe and Wehrmacht uniforms.
