The Infantry Regiment Graf Bose (1st Thuringian) No. 31 was a Prussian infantry regiment garrisoned in Thuringia, established in 1812 and named after the Prussian General Julius von Bose. The Commemorative Cross 1912 was issued for the 100th anniversary of the regiment – just two years before the outbreak of World War I, in which the regiment would endure heavy fighting. Regimental anniversary badges of the German Empire are among the rarest and most specialized German collectibles – they were only issued to active and former regimental members and are consequently rare. For collectors of the regimental history of IR 31, Thuringian military history, and Imperial-era militaria, this is an absolute highlight. Also available: Freikorps Lützow Commemorative Order 1813 (Item No. 31.006) and other pre-1933 orders in the assortment.
