About the RLB and this piece

The Reichs-Luftschutz-Bund (RLB) was the largest civil defense organization of the Third Reich, founded in 1933 and at its peak with over 22 million members. Responsible for civil air raid protection – blackout, fire protection, first aid, and evacuation during air raids. RLB cloth badges with the imperial eagle and swastika in unworn condition are among the rarest finds in the field of civilian Nazi organization badges. This second example complements Art.
