About the Regional Triangle and the HJ Region Süd-Schwaben

The regional triangle was the characteristic badge of the Hitler Youth to identify regional affiliation. Each of the over 40 HJ regions in the German Reich had its own, individually designed triangle, which was worn on the left sleeve of the shirt. The Süd-Schwaben region encompassed parts of present-day Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg in the area of historical Swabia – one of Germany's most traditional regions. Original HJ regional badges are rare on the collector's market – especially regional variants like "Süd-Schwaben," which were only issued in a limited geographical area. Also available: unworn DJ fabric badge (item no. 21.969), DJ arm badge (item no. 30.001) and DJ lightning rune (item no. 30.018).
