Named after the Prussian military reformer \u003cstrong\u003eGerhard von Scharnhorst\u003c\/strong\u003e, the Jungmännerbund was aimed at young people and young men as a junior organization of the Stahlhelm. The Stahlhelm and its sub-organizations were dissolved by the National Socialists in 1933\/34 and transferred to the SA – their badges and medals are extremely rare today. Badges of the Scharnhorst-Jungmännerbund are among the rarest Weimar Republic collectibles ever.
